The U S Supreme Court in a landmark five-to-four decision has ruled that the

right to own guns is an individual right guaranteed by the Constitution’s

Second Amendment.  The case was against the District of Columbia, which is

under Federal jurisdiction, so the finding did not directly overrule State

restrictions on gun ownership, but it sets in motion several challenges to State

and local gun bans, including Chicago’s draconian gun ban.  Chicago’s law

has been appealed to the U S Supreme Court.  It will be heard in January.  We

have to hope and pray that the Supreme Court understands that the

Fourteenth Amendment says that no State can abridge our constitutional

rights. Anyway, gun owners should be prepared for a long fight to get rid of

the oppressive laws that have disarmed the law-abiding citizens of so many

cities in the U S.  The facts are clear:  when cities have strict gun control, their

crime goes up, because criminals don’t obey the law, and can do whatever

 they want.
