Background Information

The recent attack in Mumbai, India, resulting in hundreds of deaths of innocent citizens, is another demonstration of what results when a government disarms its citizens. The ad was run to help Eastern Pennsylvania residents understand the dangers of a "Firearms Free Society", which is the mission of many currently elected officials.

60 Second Gun Ad- December 2008

The massacre of two hundred innocent people by Muslim terrorists in Mumbai India serves to remind us that we must be prepared to defend ourselves. The killers were laughing, according to one report, as helpless people cowered in fear.  Ten Muslim terrorists murdered two hundred innocent people, blew up and set fire to hotels and businesses, and paralyzed the largest city in India for over two days.  How could they have done such a thing?  Easy, because the people of India are not allowed to own guns. There are important lessons here for us.  First, we must do nothing to stop our intelligence agencies from tracking communications between terrorists so we can get them before they strike.  Second, we must be ready to defend ourselves.  If terrorists strike, there will be no time for the Army or even the police to save us.  We must have armed citizens ready to fight back.  That’s why the Second Amendment defends our right to own and carry firearms.  This message is brought to you by the Eastern Pennsylvania Firearms Coalition, and the Forks of the Delaware Arms Society.
